About Maison Vell
A house of considered things.
We gather a small number of pieces for the wardrobe and the home, chosen slowly and meant to be used every day.
Our approach
Chosen slowly.
Everything in the house earns its place. We look for careful construction, forms that will still feel right in years to come, and makers who care about the same things we do.
We would rather sell you one thing you love than five you forget. That means a shorter list, fewer seasons and no pressure to keep up.
What we hold to
Three principles
Materials first.
We start with what a thing is made of. Linen that softens, leather that darkens, glaze that catches the light: materials that improve with use rather than wear out.
Fewer, better.
The edit is deliberately small. If two pieces do the same job, we keep the one that does it better and leave the other out.
Honest about everything.
Clear prices, real stock levels and plain descriptions. If something is sold out, we say so, and you can ask us to tell you when it is back.
In use
Made to be used.
Nothing here is precious for its own sake. A good object is the one you reach for without thinking: the bowl on the table, the coat by the door, the lamp you switch on every evening.
